Constructive male involvement is essential for improving overall women’s living conditions, especially in LIC where absolute male supremacy prevails, that is where every aspect of a woman’s life is under the control of a male partner or family. Involving males as equal partners was one of the key strategies introduced at ICPD in 1994 to meet ing the goal of responsible parenthood.
Constructive male engagement is defined as
“… involves men in actively promoting gender equity with regard to
reproductive health increases men’s support for women’s reproductive health and children’s well-being and advances the reproductive health of both men and women”
